What is private suite karaoke?

At AUX, every party is exclusive! For events big and small, we aim for a modern approach to karaoke, giving you the power to set the mood and the groove. No KJs, bulky song books, or waiting on requests. Just you & your crew!  Customize your suite’s lighting levels, easily search for your favorite songs on the iPad and add them to the karaoke rotation. Enjoy delicious craft cocktails and food as well, with our attentive, personal service.

Do I need a reservation?

Walk-ins are always welcome! However, reservations are highly recommended as space is limited. Our prime days, Fridays & Saturdays, do fill up early so be sure to plan ahead.  Book a party for a future date with our online reservation system. If you’re hoping to sing tonight, give us a call and ask about our remaining availability!

Are families and young adults welcome?

Yes! Guests under the age of 21 are welcome to sing with us on Fridays & Saturday before 8pm and Sunday through Thursday before 9pm.

Do you have food and beverages available for purchase?

AUX offers a full bar with a rotating selection of signature cocktails, local beers, and wine. You can bring in your own food but outside alcohol is not allowed.

Do you allow outside BEverages or food?

We do allow outside food. We do not allow outside beverages or alcohol. This includes water bottles or containers like party cups. Pitchers of water are provided in each suite for you and your guests.  We allow celebratory dessert such as a birthday cake, cupcakes or cookies. We do offer a free cake-kit with plates, forks, napkins, and serving utensils if you need them. Just contact Guest Services and let them know if you would like one!

Can I decorate my suite?

Yes! We welcome decorations like banners, streamers or props! Helium filled balloons are acceptable but must be weighed down. We ask that self-inflated balloons and anything with little parts like feather boas, glitter, confetti, or silly string be left at home. Our staff is happy to provide you with painter’s tape for attaching decorations to the suite walls, so long as they do not cover the window in the door.  Planning a surprise party or need more time to decorate? We offer a complimentary 15 minutes of set up time before your reservation when available. Please contact us in advance to check availability and let us help make your event go off without a hitch!

Should I choose the group or individual rate?

For parties of 10 or more our group rate is the most cost effective. Group rates can be split on up to 3 different cards. Individual rates are recommended for groups of 9 or less, or parties who wish each guest to pay for their own suite time. Your guests are welcome to start their own tabs for food & beverages, regardless of the rate chosen.

How long should I book a reservation for?

The average reservation is 2 hours, with most guests wanting to stay longer. When choosing a party length, consider the number of guests attending, as well as allowing time for drink orders. We book a minimum of 1 hour and in 15 minute increments after that.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your reservation’s start time for check-in. We ask that you are responsible for the amount of time that you are booked, regardless of whether you arrive late or leave early. If you need to make any adjustments to your reservation length, please give our Guest Services team a text or call at (718) 218-3348.

How big are the suites?

Our standard suites vary in size, seating anywhere from 6-13 guests comfortably, depending on availability. The premier suite, the VOX Speakeasy back room has an occupancy of 35. 

When booking, please consider the maximum number of guests you may be expecting, and we will do our best to place you in whichever suite will be the most comfortable for you. Please give our Guest Services team a call and let us know if your party size changes, or if you’re not finding what you’re looking for online.

*Please note: The VOX Speakeasy premier suite has a skylight which can affect lighting in the suite during the day. Please reach out to Guests Services if you would like to schedule a time to view the suite in person before your reservation.

Can AUX accommodate large events and company parties?

Yes! AUX offers a premier suite for larger parties (VOX Speakeasy suite), as well as full venue buy-outs for more elaborate events! Fill out our reservation request form or contact our Guest Services team and we would be happy to discuss your party needs, or schedule a tour of our facility.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not allowed inside the building or in your private suite, at any time.

In compliance with the ADA, we do allow service animals who provide a specific function for their owner. This does not include emotional support animals.

What should I expect on arrival?

In order to make the most of your karaoke session, please arrive 15 minutes before your reservation time for check in. Our bartender or host will check you in and swipe a card to start a tab for you. Once you are all checked in, your staff will direct you to your suite and walk you through the process of how to use our song system.

If you are running late at all, please give us a call or text at (718) 218-3348 prior to your reservation time and let us know when you think you’ll arrive.

How does payment and gratuity work?

The host will swipe a card at check in to start a tab for your reservation. If you would like to pay with cash, please notify the host at check in. For parties booked at the individual rate, guests will each start their own tab for suite time. The group rate is billed on one tab, but can be split on up to 3 different cards if you would like. Your guests are welcome to start their own tabs for food & beverages, regardless of the rate chosen. You will be billed for the amount of time that you booked, so be sure to arrive 15 minutes early for check in so as not to miss out on any valuable singing time!

Tabs are brought in towards the end of your party for everyone to sign and close out. A reservation at AUX is more than just a space to sing, it’s a full-service experience. In addition to drink service, your server is there to maximize your karaoke experience. Most of our guests show appreciation for this service by including a tip on the value of their karaoke suite rental in addition to the drink tip.

What if I need to cancel?

We understand that sometimes life gets in the way of karaoke. There are no cancellation fees. You can cancel your reservation online through the link in your confirmation email, or call us at (718) 218-3348. Please notify us as soon as possible so that we can open the space up for other guests.
